Sharon Lia, a voting member of the Grammy Association, who has been likened to the soulful power vocals of Christina Aguilera by Jersey Fresh Magazine, and the dark poperatic soprano of Amy Lee of Evanescence by Independent Share Radio, is proud to present The Sharon Lia Band.
Dubbed a 'powerhouse vocalist' by The Times in NJ, Sharon has worked with legendary producer David Ivory (Patti Labelle, The Roots & Halestorm) and Stephen 'Eppy' Epstein, (WAR), husband of the late Linda Creed. Sharon had the extraordinary honor of co-writing 'Welcome to My World', a brilliant song left unfinished by Creed and Lonnie Jordan of the band WAR.
An album of four Linda Creed Songs entitled 'Welcome to My World' was released by Sharon, including her own originals as a solo act and was produced in part by Johnny Neel of Allman Brother’s fame.
Moving on to 2013, the Sharon Lia Band emerged on the mid-Atlantic music scene, performing throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. They received a standing ovation for their ballad performance of 'Forevermore' at the prestigious Hard Rock Cafe in Philadelphia in early 2014. The band performed at the Voltage Lounge as part of the Breakout Artist Competition, and was signed as a top tier act by LadyLake Music Publicity. In November of 2014, Sharon wowed the crowd with her solo opening performance for the 'Show Me Love', concert with popular freestyle artist, Robin S, at Rho Waterfront in Trenton, which was covered by Musical Seduction, Music Insider Magazine, and OnStage Magazine.
The band has risen greatly in the short time that they have been together bringing personality and charm and a diverse, technically skilled and visceral talent to the stage. Radio has warmly embraced the band, airing their music coast to coast and throughout Europe on numerous stations. This, coupled with generous media coverage, predicts a tremendous future for this crowd-pleasing up and coming band. Driven by both piano and vocals, this melodic power-pop rock band toured in 2015 from New York to New Orleans for one of the largest music conferences in the world.
Releasing their first EP entitled “Forevermore”, guesting on The Jimmy Star TV Show and landing in magazine and news/blog articles were all prominent moments for the band that year. Sharon also found time to create the group “Ladies Who Rock 4 A Cause”, a charitable foundation using the unifying power of music to help benefit others in need.
Highlights for summer 2016 will be the Sharon Lia Band performing in concert at the Hard Rock Café, Philly in August, organizing two “Ladies Who Rock 4 A Cause” events and performing alongside the area’s top original bands at WMMR 93.3 FM sponsored Hollystock, in Mt. Holly NJ.
Additionally, they will release their debut album "Fairytales" in August and have begun pre-production for their second album release later in the year.
Their music is available on iTunes / iTunes, Amazon and more.
